Calendar Skipped 10 Days. Yes, such an incident actually happened back in 1582. But resetting the calendar so the equinox would come in late march needed a more drastic solution:

To sync to the gregorian calendar, 10 days were skipped, making the next day october 15. The most surreal part of implementing the new calendar came in october 1582, when 10 days were dropped from the calendar to bring the vernal equinox from march 11 back to march 21.
